Police in Mobile, Alabama, helped stage a man's arrest so he could kneel down and propose to his terrified girlfriend. Overall, McPherson said the stunt was to strengthen the relationship between the biker community and the police.
Earlier in the day, U.S. District Court Judge James Patterson rebuffed an effort by attorneys for Trump to end the recount. President-elect Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton by almost 23,000 votes in the state.
Meanwhile, Pennsylvania's recount efforts also came to a close on Monday, with a federal judge rejecting Stein's request to recount paper ballots and scan some counties' election systems for signs of hacking. The three states have traditionally been Democratic strongholds and made up an important part of the former secretary of state's so-called "firewall" to keep Trump from reaching a majority of Electoral College votes.
Her request to have every vote checked by hand in Wisconsin, which was backed by Ms Clinton, was also rejected.

Jill Stein has sought a recount there, as well as in MI and Wisconsin.
The Green Party has hit numerous barriers in county and state courts as it has sought to have votes recounted. In addition, Stein's campaign expects to receive some of the filing fee back from MI, where a recount was started but not completed. But if it is less, she would be refunded the difference. "Most importantly", he said, "there is no credible evidence that any "hack" occurred, and compelling evidence that Pennsylvania's voting system was not in any way compromised".
Stein says the recounts were stopped despite "overwhelming support". The campaign said it spent $7.4 million in the three states, but may have some money returned by MI and Wisconsin. If the final cost is higher, Stein's campaign would have to pay for it.

"In the event of a recount surplus, the campaign will ask the more than 161,000 small donors how they want to spend the remaining funds, and have pledged to allocate the money to a set of nonpartisan election reforms and voting rights organizations based on the results of an online, ranked-choice vote", the campaign said in an email. She raised more than twice as much money for the recounts than she did for the entire presidential cycle ($3,509,477), and did it in less than three weeks.
