Giants release WR Victor Cruz after seven seasons

Though the New York Giants had one of their best seasons in recent memory, the organization has made a decision to part ways with veteran wide receiver Victor Cruz.

Overall I'd say it's doubtful that Tennessee decides to take a flyer on Cruz.

Victor Cruz was going to be a $9.4 million hit against the salary cap in 2017 and the Giants will save $7.5 million by cutting him.

Having stolen the show in the original Lego Movie, the legendary crime fighter is now in the throes of a mid-life funk. LEGO , the LEGO logo, NINJAGO , the minifigure and the brick and knob configuration are trademarks of The LEGO Group.

Jennings, meanwhile, joined the Giants in 2014 but after rushing for 863 yards (4.4 YPC) in 2015, he managed just 593 yards (3.3 YPC) last season.

Cruz had been relegated to the third wide receiver spot this season behind Odell Beckham Jr and Sterling Shepard. In 15 games this past season, he had 39 receptions for 586 yards and a touchdown. That year, he was able to total 1,536 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns. The Giants might have played deeper into the postseason with a better running game. By this time, Odell Beckham Jr. had already emerged as the franchise star and clear number one wide receiver for the Giants and Cruz had nearly become an afterthought from the two-year absence.

It isn't to say that Cruz wasn't productive, just that the Giants' youth movement at wide receiver certainly foreshadowed that 2016 would be his swan song in Giants blue. The wide receiver was looking to enter the 5th year of a six-year deal he signed back in 2013.

In 1994, Amaran says he was forced to sell his 22-acre farmhouse at Payyanur on Old Mahabalipuram Road to Sasikala. Meanwhile, AIADMK general secretary Sasikala had given befitting counter to OPS on Wednesday.

According to NFL Network, Cruz was doing "OK" after receiving word that his days with the Giants were done. "I think there is still a lot of miles left on this body".

Despite having a successful comeback, it was clear that Cruz was not the receiver he once was. An undrafted free agent out of UMass, Cruz signed with the Giants in 2010 but didn't emerge as a star until 2011.
