Trump's Russia-US Comparison Rejected by Democrats and Republicans

Trump told Fox News in an interview set to air prior to the Super Bowl on Sunday that he respects Putin.

Donald Trump was criticised by prominent Republicans on Sunday after saying in a televised interview that the U.S. was no better than Vladimir Putin's Russian Federation.

Responding to these comments on CNN, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell said he doesn't think "there's any equivalency" between the US and Putin.

Intelligence officials briefed Trump and outgoing President Obama on claims that Russian Federation has attempted to compromise him, and the FBI is investigation those allegations, CNN reported in January.

"I do respect him but", Trump replied. "I have no idea", Trump said.

Man arrested in murder of NY jogger
Investigators had found the DNA of Vetrano's suspected attacker on her phone, neck and fingernails, sources told The Post. They approached him again earlier this week and asked for a DNA sample, which he agreed to give, the newspaper reported.

"But he's a killer", O'Reilly said to Trump.

On the left, George Takei, an activist and actor famous for his role in "Star Trek", tweeted: "When the press said Putin's a killer, it was adorable to see how Trump stood by his man and criticized America instead".

Congressional Republicans returned to Capitol Hill Tuesday to confront an awkward new reality: Donald Trump is their presumptive presidential nominee.

Senator John McCain, who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, spoke out against a possible move by the White House to lift sanctions against Russian Federation.

"I know exactly what he meant by those comments yesterday", Christie said on "Face the Nation".

NHL All-Star Game has finally hit on a recipe for success
Carey Price , in all his brilliance, nailed the first attempt at the goalie goals to give the Atlantic the overall lead. McDavid then had the chance to break Dylan Larkin's record for the fastest lap in National Hockey League history.

Trump and Putin spoke on the phone last Saturday, and the two discussed cooperation in the fight against ISIS, among other areas.

The full interview is slated to air ahead of the Super Bowl.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi urged the Federal Bureau of Investigation to probe President Trump's finances and personal ties to find out if the Russian government is blackmailing him. He's a thug. He was not elected in a way that most people would consider a credible election. "I think there is a clear distinction here that all Americans understand", he said.

In an interview on CNN's "State of the Union", the Kentucky Republican said he supports rigorous vetting to prevent suspected terrorists from entering the United States. "So, the Trump administration is going to have to take a look at this and decide whether they want to continue it", he said. The change allows companies to deal with Russia's security service, which licenses such exports under Russian law.

U.S. intelligence agencies believe Russian Federation was behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee, releasing damaging emails through WikiLeaks and interfering in the USA presidential election. The White House denied there was any easing of sanctions.
