NY [U.S.], March 18: The White House has flatly denied all reports suggesting that the United States tendered an apology to the British government over a report alleging that a UK intelligence agency spied on President Donald Trump, at the behest of his predecessor Barack Obama.
Despite the Republican and Democratic leaders of the Senate intelligence committee stating there's "no indications" of surveillance at Trump Tower in NY before or after the election, the White House is defending Mr Trump's claims. But White House spokesman Sean Spicer forcefully defended Trump's assertion during a briefing, citing media reports that have discussed intelligence collection on possible contacts between Trump associates and Russian Federation in the campaign.
"He didn't use the NSA, he didn't use the Central Intelligence Agency, he didn't use the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and he didn't use the Department of Justice", Napolitano said, claiming that Obama used Britain's GCHQ to circumvent United States law. "We've received assurances these allegations won't be repeated".

Mr Trump was asked by a German reporter after the president's meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel about British involvement in the wiretapping claims, which the White House has provided no evidence for.
The US Justice Department on Friday said it delivered documents to congressional committees responding to their request for information that could shed light on President Donald Trump's claims that former President Barack Obama ordered US agencies to spy on him. "I think you're going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks", he said. Merkel said that "immigration has to be worked on", but that refugees needed "opportunities to shape their own lives where they are".
Leicester will take game to Sevilla, says Shakespeare
"It's not only for the players and manager but one of the biggest games in the club's history". That being said, Sevilla are an extremely competitive side, with a good La Liga season to boot.
Mr Spicer claimed Mr Obama was "able to get transcripts of conversations involving President-elect Trump". The Republican president offered no evidence for the allegation, which an Obama spokesman said was "simply false". Trump said while standing by his initial charge that the previous USA administration eavesdropped on him.
A White House official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said British officials had voiced concern to senior Trump aides but the official declined to explicitly apologise for Spicer's citation of the Fox News allegations.
Spicer repeated the allegations on Thursday, quoting from that Fox News report.
