The idea of Amazon streaming live National Football League games probably isn't something that the Seattle-based tech giant considered when it launched more than two decades ago, or even in the past few years, for that matter. However, unlike Twitter's deal that let anyone who logged on to see the games, Amazon will only allow its Prime subscribers to have access. The NFL will reportedly release its 2017 regular season schedule later this month.
Prior to getting the streaming rights for professional football games, it is understood that there was a bidding war between Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Amazon.
"But an Amazon-NFL partnership is a more logical fit than one with Twitter, and it could portend more dramatic deals in the future".

According to our friends over at Recode, this year Thursday Night Football will be streamed on Amazon. Aside from requiring a Prime subscription to watch, Amazon also plans to recoup a little of their payout by displaying ads on the screen.
The NFL deal with Twitter opened the door for them to start focusing more on the live aspect of their company.
Twitter had a similar deal for the NFL's Thursday night games past year, kicking off a strategy to expand video and boost its appeal to a broader audience. For example, tapping on a tweet actually paused the live game action, which was lame. That means Amazon's deal is about $50 million.

So it looks like Apple is either developing their own graphics chip or its could have even found an alternative supplier. While most of us were asleep Monday morning, United Kingdom -based Imagination Technologies Group said the Apple Inc .
These games are also available to anyone with electricity, a television and an antenna over broadcast CBS and NBC channels. First, the micro-blogging platform debuted native Periscope integration on its mobile app past year and then followed it with the release of Producer API a couple weeks ago. Though seeing as streams are poised to be bundled with Prime, it's safe to assume at the moment that they will play out just like any other content on Amazon Video.
Ultimately, Amazon's hope with this agreement is to pave the way towards a more permanent relationship with the NFL.
