Apple plans recycled material for its products

DigiTimes has an unreliable track record in predicting Apple's future product plans, often predicting both timing and features incorrectly for upcoming products.

A Karnataka government official told ET that Apple's application hasn't made much progress in any of the concerned government departments. Naturally, these are obtained through mining.

"Traditional supply chains are linear", the report reads. "Then the process starts over and more materials are extracted from the earth for new products".

"And we're piloting innovative new recycling techniques, like our line of disassembly robots, so we can put reclaimed materials to better use in new products". In the document, the tech company says that it plans to move to a closed-loop manufacturing system "one day", but as of now, it is not sure how to get to that point.

No positive shift yet on Russia-US ties
"Right now we're not getting along with Russian Federation at all", Trump said flatly during a White House news conference. Tillerson met Putin in the Kremlin after talking to his Russian opposite number Sergei Lavrov for around three hours.

Moreover, as much as 99 per cent of the paper in Apple product packaging already comes from recycled or responsibly manager sources, according to the company's latest environmental report.

"Our challenge is to recover the aluminium from our products without degrading its quality", the company said.

For tin, it's a little simpler. It is using the melted aluminum to make Mac mini computers to be used in its factories.

But of course it's never that easy.

Chris Sutton believes Arsenal must replace Arsene Wenger
Hopefully we haven't been dragged straight back into it, but judging on that performance tonight, it looks like we have. It's a big worry. "I have managed over 1100 games for Arsenal Football Club and we are not used to losing like that".

Is it any wonder that Apple is working to eliminate its dependence on external suppliers?

Using only recycled materials not only reduces environmental impact, but also helps prevent human rights abuses, such as the use of child labor to mine cobalt, which is essential for lithium-ion batteries, and minerals from conflict zones. All these firms specialize in semiconductors (electronic chips) and aim to provide Apple with an average of 50 million chips per quarter, from the second part of this year.

Apple's patent claims this can provide an intuitive assessment "of the suitability of various products for a objective of use" or, in simpler terms, help you decide what stuff to buy without needing the real product there and then.

ADI, Broadcom, Cirrus Logic, Cypress, NXP, Qualcomm, STMicroelectronics, and TI are all making components for Apple's new iPhones. UBS forecasts Apple is likely to ratchet down the royalty rate it now pays of around US$0.30 to closer to US$0.10 - the rate Imagination charges customers such as MediaTek.

Goldman Sachs' profits miss forecasts as trading struggled
The current share price indicates that stock is -11.32% away from its one year high and is moving 65.30% ahead of its 52-week low. While there was a lot of negative information in Goldman Sachs' first-quarter earnings report, the news wasn't all bad.

Well Apple have dutifully heard those calls for numbers and provided.
