Richard Simmons hospitalized in California, battling severe indigestion

Simmons had a three-day hospitalization last summer for what his camp described as dehydration, the website said.

Richard Simmons, whose physical and emotional well-being has been the subject of much speculation the past year, was hospitalized Monday for "severe indigestion". According to Catalano, the fitness celebrity is doing better and is "expected to make a full recovery". Catalano did not disclose where in California Simmons was hospitalized.

Simmons had reportedly been battling discomfort while eating for a few days and made a decision to go to the hospital on Monday.

Richard Simmons was hospitalized on Monday, April 17 and now his rep is giving the details about what landed him there as well as an update on his current health.
