Homeland Security's New Tip Hotline Jammed by Reports of 'Space' Aliens

In the U.S., "criminal alien" is a term used to describe an immigrant who has been convicted of a crime.

A telephone hotline set up by the Trump administration to allow people to report crimes committed by illegal immigrants, is being snarled by protesters and pranksters.

The White House launched its new criminal alien's hotline on Wednesday, but it wasn't created to track down aliens in the scientific sense.

President Donald Trump's "criminal alien" hotline is drawing responses on Twitter, where some have urged the public to call the hotline to report sasquatch and green alien sightings.

Another person wrote, "Just tried to call to report the theft of my tractor by space cadets-on hold for 8 minutes had to abandon, will call again!"

Reebok Launches a Sweat-Stained T-Shirt, Trolls Nordstrom
They say the accurate placement of the stains was created by sweaty employees after workout for maximum visibility. Nordstrom's website says the jeans have a "caked-on muddy coating" to embody "rugged, Americana workwear".

Ever since the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) office opened earlier this week, people have taken to Twitter to encourage calling and reporting extraterrestrials to the office's hotline.

A spokesperson for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed to BuzzFeed that the lines were "tied up by hoax callers". Their actions seek to obstruct and do harm to crime victims; that's objectively despicable regardless of one's views on immigration policy.

One of the first people to troll the hotline was Alexander McCoy, a Marine vet from NY.

So when a hotline was announced for the VOICE office, people online - especially those frustrated by Trump's actions and rhetoric surrounding immigrants - chose to zero in on the word "alien".

The agency stated that they intend to "adjust resources, if necessary", to deal with the trolling.

In Hyde Park at midday, 41 volleys in honour of the monarch's birthday were fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery. This year the Queen's official birthday falls on June 17, which will be marked by the ceremonial Trooping of the Colour.

People who say they have been trolling the hotline shared what they said on social media.

It was reported that wait times were as high as 20 minutes before being able to get through to an operator.

Callers to the hotline on Friday heard a recording that said the same thing.

McCoy later tweeted that the flood of calls appeared to have shut down the hotline.
