Real Madrid star Karim Benzema snubbed by France's Twitter account

Real Madrid's French forward Karim Benzema (R) vies with Atletico Madrid's Uruguayan defender Diego Godin (C) and Atletico Madrid's Montenegrin defender Stefan Savic during the UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg football match Club Atletico de Madrid vs Real Madrid CF at the Vicente Calderon stadium in Madrid, on May 10, 2017.

Bayern Munich were left aggrieved by some terrible officiating in the second leg as Real Madrid reached the last four thanks to Ronaldo's hat-trick.

Real Madrid will play back to back Champions League finals 57 years later when they travel to Cardiff on the 3rd of June to face Juventus.

The Frenchman spent five seasons as a player with the Italian giants before making a big-money move to Real in 2001. He lauded the efforts of Juventus to reach the finale, saying they "deserved" it but maintained he will have no divided loyalties.

Despite his worldwide exile, Benzema has remained a central figure in Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane's plans, and starred as the reigning European champions clinched their place in the final berth at the expense of neighbours Atletico.

With one of the world's best forwards, Cristiano Ronaldo, against the best goalkeeper in world, Gianluigi Buffon, the finale should be a treat to watch. They also deserved to get through and it'll be an excellent final.

"It hasn't been an easy year for me", he said.

Real Madrid is not a club of coaches, but of players.

Even Atletico Madrid, who Zinedine Zidane's side saw off for the fourth consecutive year on the European stage on Wednesday with a 4-2 aggregate victory, have won the title more recently than Real.

"We conceded two goals but in the end we were superior".

The banners at the Bernabeu last week read "tell me how it feels", along with an image of the Champions League trophy and the words "Milan" and "Lisbon", the cities which hosted the finals where Madrid defeated Atletico in 2014 and 2016.

Gareth Bale and Dani Carvajal remain out injured, while centre-backs Pepe and Raphael Varane are doubtful.

"I hope we will have him back before then, it is better that he plays a little bit".
