Apple's new iPhones 'Do Not Disturb' drivers with notifications

Apple also entered the market for speakers-you-can-talk-to with the HomePod, which is exactly what it sounds like: Siri in a can with a bunch of speakers. Apple's own apps including Siri, Apple Music, Photos and Mail will get significant updates, while deep learning technology will understand a user's preferences over time for better Siri responses, text suggestions, content to read and more.

The real challenge for Apple and other major tech companies moving forward is that numerous enhancements and capabilities they're going to introduce over the next several years are likely to be a lot subtler refinements of existing products or services.

Analyst Geoff Blaber from CCS Insight said these updates could be vital to Apple and the HomePod's success. New iMacs and MacBook laptops start shipping Monday.

A new voice will be introduced in Siri with iOS 11 update. Another Safari feature will stop video from automatically playing on websites. It will not actually block ads, though. Apple has also given the laptops faster storage (it is up to 50% faster than the previous generation), and this would mean a significant performance boost.
