Live donkey thrown into tiger enclosure by disgruntled shareholders of Chinese zoo

Tourists at the zoo in Yancheng city, China, were shocked to see as a helpless donkey was chucked into a moat and fed to a group of hungry tigers.

Under suspicion that the zoo was "conspiring to cheat small investors of their investments", the investors decided "to feed donkeys and sheep... to tigers", said the management.

Local media reports claimed that the men had attempted to throw a goat into the enclosure as well, but were stopped by visitors and the zoo's security staff.

A zoo official told the South China Morning Post that a shareholder involved in a dispute with the zoo was behind the incident that emerged this week. The shareholder said: "Without these documents, we can only watch these animals die".
