Texas toddlers die after being left in vehicle

Brynn Hawkins, one, and Addyson Overgard-Eddy, two, died in hospital at about 5pm on Thursday (June 8).

The girls' mother, Amanda Hawkins, 19, was charged with two counts of abandoning or endangering a child, Kerr County Sheriff W.R.

Late Thursday afternoon, hospital staff in San Antonio unplugged Brynn and Addyson's ventilators, having concluded that they were beyond saving.

The investigation began after Hawkins took her one-year-old and two-year-old daughters to Peterson Regional Medical Center claiming the two had collapsed while at Flat Rock Lake.

But the children died just a few hours later.

Irish police arrest two men linked to London Bridge attacker
Police have identified two of the three London Bridge terrorist attack suspects as Khuram Shazad Butt (left) and Rachid Redouane. Earlier yesterday, detectives had arrested a 27-year-old man under the Terrorism Act at an address in Barking, east London.

The children's mother, Amanda Hawkins, 19, has been charged with two counts of Abandoning or Endangering a Child and is now in custody in the Bexar County Jail, awaiting transfer to Kerr County, Hierholzer said.

Hierholzer told the station Hawkins and a 16-year-old boy drove to a friend's house Tuesday night and left the children in the auto while they were inside.

Once Hawkins discovered the girls, investigators say she tried to bathe them and did not "immediately want to take the girls to the hospital because she did not want to get in trouble".

With the death of the girls, Hierholzer said Hawkins could face upgraded charges after the case is presented to a grand jury. The fact that she is accused of intentionally leaving her daughters in a hot vehicle won't go over well with a judge or jury if this case makes it all the way to trial.

The children remained in the vehicle as the sun rose over the Hill Country county northwest of San Antonio.

Senate intelligence panel requests Trump campaign documents -WashPost
He says the committee will be "following up with subpoenas" to maximize the chances of getting information from Flynn. Mr Flynn, a retired general, is a key witness in the Russian Federation investigations because of his ties to Moscow.

Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer said autopsies on the children have been ordered. Hierholzer told the Current he's certain Hawkins knew what she was doing.

Police investigated and questioned Hawkins before she confessed to leaving her children in the hot auto.

She said, "No, they're fine". Hawkins lied to the medics that they had fallen unconscious after smelling a flower. The site seeks to provide valuable information to parents and show how unsafe it can be to leave a child unattended in a hot auto.

'I hesitated for so long because I didn't want her kids in the system, ' told Davis. "They'll cry themselves to sleep", the sheriff said, KSAT-TV reported Saturday.
