Trump Legal Team to File Complaint Over Comey Memos

President Donald Trump, a man not known for his restraint or his thoughtfulness on social media, nevertheless made it through the entire James Comey hearing Thursday without uttering a single word on Twitter.

It falls, ultimately, to Robert Mueller, the special counsel overseeing Justice's investigation into Russian meddling in the elections, to ferret out how and if Trump's aides, and the president himself, are complicit.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says she has concerns about President Donald Trump's "fitness for office" - and thinks he needs more sleep. "We know how to fight better than anybody and we never give up", he said.

Under questioning Thursday, Comey reaffirmed the intelligence community's conclusion that Russian Federation meddled in the election.

The Russia question has put an asterisk next to the president's election win, put the White House on a war footing, sunk his poll numbers and sucked up oxygen in Congress - which has launched multiple investigations. However, the bureau is meant to be insulated from the political pressure of the White House.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has had to recuse himself from the investigation.

According to the DOJ, Comey had a discussion with Sessions in which they talked about Comey's interactions with Trump verging on inappropriateness.

Trump called Comey a "showboat" and "grandstander" in an interview with NBC News on May 11, saying that he would have fired Comey regardless of Rosenstein's recommendation.

South Korean Official Suspended Over US Missile Defense Report
The four North Koreans were found on two vessels on Friday and Saturday by the South Korean navy, the ministry said. Yoon said Wee instead initially planned to verbally report about the four launchers but didn't do so.

Asked yesterday which version she would believe, Republican US Senator Susan Collins said it was possible Mr Comey misremembered or misinterpreted some of their exchanges.

Mr Comey told the Senate panel that he shared an unclassified memo about his February conversation with Mr Trump about Mr Flynn because he hoped it would lead to the appointment of a special counsel. "Kasowitz, who is a fine lawyer, answered it - and I know from personal experience that he has the president's trust".

"Trump Headquarters" fired off this email after Comey's testimony to beg for cash. "Those were lies, plain and simple".

His accusations could further mire Trump's government in legal difficulties.

The Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency concluded in a report declassified in January that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered a campaign not just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system but to affect the outcome. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., a member of the Intelligence Committee, said. "I'm not going to say, "I want you to pledge allegiance".

In 2008, the federal appeals court in St. Louis upheld a longer prison term after a judge determined that a defendant had obstructed justice when he told someone "I hope and pray to God you did not say anything about a weapon".

The next high-profile name to be quizzed by the intelligence committee could be the president's son-in-law and senior adviser, Jared Kushner. "And my judgment was, I needed to get that out into the public square".

The Senate judiciary committee, meanwhile, sent a request to Columbia University law professor Daniel Richman for Comey's memos. "We will leave it to the appropriate authorities to determine whether these leaks should be investigated along with all the others that are being investigated".

Apple CEO to MIT grads: Tech without values is worthless
He added: "It wasn't about not wanting to advise on something that we thought should be heard". This technology superimposes graphics and other information onto a person's view of the world.

On the alleged tapes President Trump has referred to before, he told the media they will know about them in a "fairly short period of time". "Lordy, I hope there are tapes".

But Capitol Hill observers sat rapt as Comey bluntly delivered what might have been an exit interview for the ages.

Comedy Central's Trevor Noah also had his fun with Comey's testimony, which even had "The Daily Show" host lampooning those who went out to bars to watch it early in the morning.

In a prepared statement before his testimony Mr Comey said: "I took the opportunity to implore the Attorney General to prevent any future direct communication between the president and me".

Trump has made clear on multiple occasions he believes the Russian Federation investigations have run their course and should be closed.

"The president feels completely vindicated and is eager to continue moving forward with his agenda, with the business of this country, and with this public cloud removed", Kasowitz said.

"The best thing said on this is nothing", said former NY mayor Rudolph Giuliani, a Trump friend and former Justice Department official.
