What are they debating? Bill Cosby jury deliberations hit eight-hour mark

Jurors failed to reach a verdict Tuesday and will begin a third day of deliberations Wednesday in Bill Cosby's trial on sexual assault charges.

The jury returned to the Montgomery County Courthouse at 9 a.m. Tuesday, after deliberating for four hours Monday following closing arguments on the sixth day of the trial. She settled a 2005 civil lawsuit against Cosby for an undisclosed sum, though jurors did not hear about that case. They heard excerpts covering a wide range of topics, from Cosby's first meeting with Andrea Constand to the night in January 2004 when she says he drugged and violated her. "They'll take the edge off", Cosby told her, she testified.

Constand told Jackson she hadn't filed charges but said "like the story on the news, the person who had drugged and done something to her sexually was a high-profile person".

The defense rested its case, wrapping its side in the sexual assault trial, after calling on a single witness - Detective Richard Schaffer, who led the investigation into allegations that Cosby drugged and assaulted Andrea Constand in early 2004 at his home outside Philadelphia - back to the stand.

The fate of entertainer Bill Cosby on sexual assault charges is in the hands of a jury near Philadelphia, which began deliberations Monday.

Benjamin Netanyahu says does not want `escalation` in Gaza
Israel's power plant, which supplies 125 MGW, or 30 percent of the total electricity needs of the Gaza Strip, will scale back to at least 40 percent.

He faces three counts of felony aggravated indecent assault, and one of the counts covers his alleged fondling of Constand while she was passed out.

Mason testified last week that Constand told him Cosby gave her pills that made her feel woozy.

According to the Inquirer, Marguerite Jackson, the assistant director of advising for the Boyer College of Music and Dance, claimed Constand told her she was sexually assaulted in the defense's statement. She came to the courtroom for the first time on Monday.

And all along, they said Constand was a willing romantic partner.

Cosby couldn't risk taking the stand and being cross-examined about his more than 50 other accusers if he denied ever drugging or molesting anyone.

Democratic Unionists in Northern Ireland become election key
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn , riding a wave of acclaim for his party's unexpectedly strong showing, called on May to resign. Some say her failure means the government must now take a more flexible approach to the divorce.

"The thing that keeps coming back is if these women were really so wronged, why did they continue their relationships with him, and that's her problem", said Treece.

The spokesman said Cosby is "doing good, his spirits are up, and we believe this jury is highly intelligent".

Cosby's lawyers say Constand's initial report was inconsistent with her later statements. "And I went upstairs and I went into my pack and I broke one whole one and brought a half down and told her to take it". The woman says she can not recall exactly when Constand told her of the plan to falsely accuse a celebrity, only that Constand was the operations manager for the team at the time. His accuser Constand, her mother, and another accuser, Kelly Johnson, took the stand.

If I had my way, we'd never come to verdict on this case. The district attorney at the time declined to press charges, citing insufficient evidence.

Coleman sets new college mark in 100m
Coleman is competing at the NCAA outdoor championships in Eugene, Oregon. Coleman's time was unheard of, but to be fair, he is unworldly fast.

But Steele and co-prosecutors Kristen Feden and M. Stewart Ryan suggested Constand was calling Cosby, a university trustee, about university business and argued Cosby's conduct wasn't "romantic" but was "criminal". "I don't understand it". After Jackson pressed her, Constand admitted it had not happened but said she could easily use the story to make money off the man, Jackson said.
