Foxconn will build factory in Wisconsin, White House invitation says

Foxconn, the Taiwanese electronics supplier for Apple and other tech companies, plans to invest $10 billion in a new factory in Wisconsin, the White House announced Wednesday.

Gou said Foxconn would invest $10 billion to create 13,000 jobs making LCD panels. Scott Walker's office said the plant represents a $10 billion investment, "the largest new greenfield investment made by a foreign-based company in USA history".

When Foxconn executives met with Trump in the Oval Office, "the president said I know a good spot where you should go - that place in Kenosha", Priebus recounted.

Gov. Scott Walker and Foxconn CEO Terry Gou watched the white wings of Milwaukee's art museum open over them to mark their agreement to have the electronics manufacturer build its first United States plant in Wisconsin.

Nokia 2 Specifications Emerge via GeekBench Listing
But that's not the only exciting thing to look forward as new evidence has pointed towards another important launch at the event. According to the recent leaked price of Nokia 8 also leaked and it was with a price tag of Euro 589 (approximately Rs.43,400).

And Trump, in an interview Tuesday with the Wall Street Journal, said Foxconn was strongly considering putting the plant in Wisconsin. It is hard to speculate about Trump's input into the launch of the venture, though, as Foxconn's plant opening was rumoured before the election a year ago.

Governor Walker and other key state are expected to be at the White House on Wednesday, if the expected announcement is about Foxconn and Wisconsin.

The Foxconn announcement doesn't have anything to do with Apple as far as we can tell (for now), so it's unclear if this is one of the three factories that Trump says Apple has promised, but we assume it's not.

The investment is also a victory for top Congressional Republican Paul Ryan, as the massive investment in his home state is tangible evidence that hard ties with Trump can bring results. Michigan, North Carolina and Pennsylvania are other states thought to be in the running to land the investment.

Palestinian Leadership Freezes Contact with Israel over Protest Crackdown
The Palestinian was stopped by a neighbour, an off-duty Israeli soldier, who shot him, the official said. Access to the shrine for Muslims was limited to men over 50 but open to women of all ages.

Jennifer Shilling, D Senate Minority Leader. said: "While I welcome new businesses to the state, I want to ensure any state-subsidized private sector jobs offer a living wage and safe working conditions".

But Foxconn is not Apple, though; Apple is just one of Foxconn's many customers.

But Foxconn has had a mixed record following up on promises to create new jobs in the United States.

Trump also said Tuesday in a Wall Street Journal interview that Apple CEO Tim Cook "promised" him the company plans to build "three big plants, attractive plants" in the United States.
