Kid Rock running for Senate

Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, wrote on Twitter the website "KidRockForSenate.com" was "real".

The famous rocker ― who also goes by "Detroit cowboy", "American badass" or simply "the Kid" ― hinted at a bid for a Senate seat in MI by tweeting to his fans that the website KidRockforSenate.com is real.

The site - which appears to run through his record label at Warner Bros. - sells hats, t-shirts, bumper stickers and yard signs that tout a run. Considering the amount of celebrities that have made their entry into politics, there's a good chance this isn't a joke, but we really, really hope it is.

Why Rob Kardashian Sharing Blac Chyna's Nude Photos Is Beyond Problematic
While the family will stand behind Kardashian in the feud, they have reportedly been telling him in private to stop it. Chyna to stand up for her rights as a woman to control which images of her own body will be made public", she said.

Young told MLive in a recent interview Republican primary voters will likely have several options when they get to the ballot, but expressed confidence that his experience and his capability to make substantive changes will make him an appealing option. So, all in all, it's not entirely likely that Kid Rock will appear on the 2018 MI ballot.

Social media users were quick to express their opinion about the 46-year-old MI native's potential bid for the Senate.

Michigan Republican Party Chairman Ron Weiser said he had not heard from Ritchie, who endorsed GOP presidential candidates Donald Trump in 2016 and Mitt Romney in 2012. Ritchie did not confirm a Senate run in his tweets. In 2015, the "American Badass" rocker revealed he's a fiscal Republican, but a social libertarian. "I'll bet you he would generate as much excitement as Trump did", he told the paper in February. And then, it's unclear what support he would actually receive - he would be running against Democrat Debbie Stabenow who has been Michigan's Senior Senator since 2001.

Ivanka works for free, but Trump White House can pay well
Roll Call used first names and publicly available news reports and social media pages to determine employees' genders. There's one major reason for this , CNN reports: more women than men are working in lower-ranking positions.

There isn't any evidence that Kid Rock has filed paperwork with the Federal Elections Commission to run for office, so the candidacy isn't entirely confirmed. "As an ordained minister I don't look forward to marrying gay people, but I'm not opposed to it", Rock said.

In April, Trump hosted Kid Rock, musician Ted Nugent and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at a White House dinner.
