'Aggressive' Nawaz Sharif attacks judges for ousting him as Pakistan Prime Minister

The brother of ousted Pakistani leader Nawaz Sharif will not contest a parliamentary by-election for the vacant seat, party sources said on Tuesday, effectively scuttling previous plans for him to take over as prime minister in September.

Sharif's convoy swelled to hundreds of vehicles and several thousands of supporters, making it impossible for them to move quickly. He was joined by his replacement as premier, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Media reports this week said the party appeared to backtrack on the plans announced by Sharif, saying the PML-N would likely keep Abbasi in place until next year's general elections. And Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that Sharif failed to bring out people and the rally was already a "flop show". "He is indeed the prime minister of hearts", Rehman told The Nation.

The IT department has maintained that the search had "no concern" with the MLAs and that only the Minister's room was searched. No search or tax officers are at the resort. "He has been taken to his residence and questioned there", Jaitley said.

Pakistan's deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif is determined to hold a rally in his powerbase of Lahore despite a bombing in the city on Monday that killed one person and raised fears for the PML-N chief's safety.

Sharif sought the people's promise to get their mandate respected. Sharif is going to go to his hometown of Lahore via the GT Road in the form of a rally, where he will be addressing his supporters at different points during the journey.

Mr. Sharif undertook the roadshow despite massive security concerns and told party leaders that it was vital to speak to supporters about the circumstances under which he was ousted.

Dolores Park Shooting in San Francisco Injures 3
Juhasz said many parents and children did not react fast enough to the danger because they thought the gunshots were fireworks. Hatter , a witness who goes by that name, told the SF Gate that he saw some park regulars confront the group of men.

The formal decision would be taken later this week in Lahore in meeting of the PML-N. "Around 50 percent of the people here are those who have just come to watch the scene", said bystander Nazakat Ali. "Even those judges said Nawaz Sharif didn't indulge in corruption", he thundered, and asked people to question why their leader was disqualified when he was not involved in corruption.

Sharif's rally comes a day after firebrand opposition cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri returned home from overseas despite pending court cases against him in Pakistan.

Party leaders have recently suggested that Abbasi is expected to hold office until elections due next year, a reversal of earlier indications that Sharif's younger brother, Shahbaz, would take over the office.
