Dolores Park Shooting in San Francisco Injures 3

San Francisco police will station two officers at a popular Mission District park during the day and night following a shooting that wounded three people and sent others running for safety.

According to the SFPD, the three victims - identified Friday as a 37-year-old man, a 16-year-old male, and a 69-year-old man - were located "near the vicinity of the foot bridge at Church and Cumberland Streets". One man is in critical condition, another was treated and released and the third victim is a teenage boy.

Hatter, a witness who goes by that name, told the SF Gate that he saw some park regulars confront the group of men.

Dolores Park turned into a chaotic scene when an unknown suspect fired shots into the crowd gathered at the popular tourist destination on Thursday evening.

"I normally can handle (myself) well in these situations, but I was pretty sure I had just lost my life", Hatter said.

Two people directly behind Hatter were struck by bullets, one in the head and one in the leg, he said.

The gunfire unfolded around 3:05 p.m. Antonia Juhasz, who lives nearby, said she heard "a total of three shots", and that she saw someone running "with a gun in their hand".
