Gamescom 2017: New Overwatch Map and Animated Short Coming Next Week

Gamescom is upon us, with the main conference planned to last from August 23rd until August 26th.

But while other companies at Gamescom 2017 opt to use livestreaming services provided by the likes of YouTube, Twitch and Facebook, Blizzard has confirmed that the Reveal Ceremony livestream will be hosted on the official Blizzard Gamescom website. Overwatch players can hope to see a brand new map revealed in a Blizzard event preview video on Monday. Activision Blizzard is bringing a roster of powerhouse titles to Gamescom 2017 with a series of livestreams lined up: Call of Duty: WWII on August 22, Blizzard Entertainment's stable including Overwatch, Starcraft 2 and Hearthstone from August 23 and sci-fi shooter Destiny 2 on August 24. This is the first animated short since Sombra's reveal back in November and hopefully, herald a consistent stream of shorts in the future.
