German Police have Arrested the Suspect for the Baby Food Poisoning

On Thursday police alerted the public to the risk of food being poisoned, saying a blackmailer was demanding millions of euros in cash.

Authorities and companies received an email this month threatening to poison unspecified food at branches of German retailers inside the country and beyond unless more than 10 million euros (US $11.8 million) was paid by Saturday.

Police and USA military officials in Germany are warning consumers who buy food or medicine on the local economy to look out for tampered products after jars of baby food in southern Germany were found to be poisoned.

Toddler takes popcorn from Prince Harry
Prince Harry was sitting with friends when their young daughter began taking popcorn from him while he wasn't looking. Fortunately for the prince, the adorable perpetrator was only after Harry's popcorn.

To press the demand, the blackmailer poisoned five baby food products and last week alerted police to the store they were placed in, in the southern city of Friedrichshafen on Lake Constance.

Officials have managed to track down the baby food that was tampered with, and DNA found on the jars has been linked to the suspect.

Police said they had found some baby food spiked with ethylene glycol, a colorless, odorless liquid used in the manufacture of antifreeze, which can be deadly if consumed. Police are seeking one man seen on camera.

Penn State Wins Thriller Against Iowa With Time Expiring
On fourth-and-goal with 4 seconds left, McSorley found Johnson in the middle of the end zone for the game victor as time expired. But on fourth down, McSorley stood strong in the pocket and drilled the ball through a crowded end zone and into Johnson's chest.

Chief prosecutor Alexander Boger told a news conference in Konstanz, on Germany's southern border, that the man hadn't confessed but the evidence against him was substantial. Still, police told consumers to check the safety seals on products they buy and report suspected tampering to the authorities. The footage was made public to help in the search.

Police say their suspicions about the man have now strengthened, and they will release more information later.
