Three Nazi fanboys arrested for attempted murder after Richard Spencer speech

The most serious incident - involving the arrest of three men charged with attempted homicide and accused of chanting about Adolf Hitler and firing a gunshot as they confronted a group of protesters - occurred after the Spencer's appearance.

The lawsuit comes after an attorney for the university sent a letter Friday to Spencer associate and Georgia State University graduate student Cameron Padgett that said while the school "values freedom of speech", the request to rent space for Spencer represents a "substantial risk to public safety".

Police said in a news release Friday that Tyler Tenbrink, 28, William Fears, 30, and Colton Fears, 28, all of Pasadena, Texas, were arrested on charges of attempted murder. The men in the vehicle displayed Nazi salutes and shouted chants about Hitler, and one of them, identified as Tyler Tenbrink, 28, pulled out a gun.

Tenbrink got out of the vehicle with a handgun while William Fears and Colton Fears yelled, "I'm going to f--ing kill you", and "Shoot them".

"What it seemed like was that law enforcement in the state, and in the county and the city had seen what happened in Charlottesville and they were not going to make the same mistake happen, so they were certainly prepared", he said.

An off-duty deputy from the Alachua County Sheriff's Office was on his way home when he spotted the Jeep about 20 miles north of Gainesville.
